It does mean thief
Oh, now I remember why I wanted to post about Bonnie and Clyde:

Ester was trying to explain the movie to me, and at first I thought said it was about cheese. Then, no, it was chiefs. It was about Indians? But no, the chiefs were married, and loved each other very much.

"Oh," I exclaimed. "Vor!"

Learning Stuff
Ester mentioned Tuesday night that she'd seen a movie about two thieves who were husband and wife, and she wrote poetry. A bit of questioning revealed that she'd been watching a movie about Bonnie and Clyde.

So today I went hunting around a bit, and now I know all kinds of fascinating stuff about Depression-era crime and police manhunts. Best find was William Daniel Jones' first hand account of Riding with Bonnie and Clyde.

What did people do before the Internet??
