Places I Want to Go
(in no particular order)

  • Osaka, to visit our Japanese translator-in-exile.
  • Chicago, to take a ghost tour with adamselzer.
  • Dordogne, to see the Lascaux caves.
  • Montreal, just because it's so cool. Likewise Toronto and Ottowa.
  • Seattle, to visit hrmortcia and her hubby.
  • St. Louis, for the annual family visit, but also to attend Archon, djdragonmatrix's birthday party, and (drool!) Costume Con 25.
  • San Francisco, see Montreal. Also to visit danea.
  • England, to see another play at the New Globe theater, and to visit toraks, who is nowhere near London, but close to Scotland, which is next on the list.
  • Scotland. Men in kilts, 'nuff said.
  • The Grand Canyon, because I've never been.
  • The Yucatan, to see the Mayan pyramids.
  • Eastern PA, to visit gerdawr and his lovely wife, and to meet their twin boys. Also to visit my friend Alisa, who graciously wrote me a recommendation letter at the last minute. And to see if Alan still exists somewhere...
  • Savannah, because it was so lovely, and because now I can go visit elizebethjoy and get hennaed.
  • Dawsonville, GA, to visit the Kangaroo Conservation Center. No, really, they've got one.
  • Chattanooga, to see the aquarium and Ruby Falls.
  • New Orleans, even though everyone says it's overrated.
  • Athens, because I didn't really get to see much of it the first time (bloody group tours).
  • Venice, because Becki and I always said we'd go for Carnevale, and spend a fortune on glamorous costumes and masks.
  • Jonesborough, TN for the National Storytelling Festival.
  • Amsterdam, to spend more time in the flower market, and just wandering around. It's a gorgeous place.
  • Dresden, on the day they let you drive the trains.
  • Paris, because, well, it's Paris, but also to see this

More as I think of them...

The Yucatan, to see the Mayan pyramids

I'm lucky I have family in Yucatan, and we've been to the pyramids a couple of times, it truly is some incredible sights..

New Orleans, even though everyone says it's overrated

I wouldn't say it's overrated...I was there once and really like it, since Katrina it's changed but it's slowly building up, and the music/food there is unique..
